PSAT

The PSAT will be administered to all Juniors in preparation for the spring of their Junior year when it is recommended that they take the SAT/ACT for the first time. This test will allow students to link their results with KHAN Academy and to practice specific skills from January (when they receive their scores) until they take the SAT.

Study Guides

Study guides will be distributed through English and math classes. Additional study tools can be found on the College Board website at www.collegeboard.org. The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a program cosponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). This test provides firsthand practice for the SAT. It also gives students a chance to enter NMSC scholarship programs and to gain access to college and career planning tools. Preparation for this test is expected.

Test Results

Test results will also be distributed through English classes. These are usually available mid-January.

Homeschooled Students

Homeschooled 11th grade students are welcome to take this test, BUT must register in person at Student Services no later than then end of the second week of September. There is a fee of $14.50 also payable at Student Services during regular school hours/days.
